Recycler of the Year (ROY) Awards Criteria

The Tennessee Recycling Coalition with its Board of Directors is pleased to present the nomination criteria for this year’s Recycler of the Year (ROY) awards. Participants are encouraged to nominate themselves or others and submit the awards nomination no later than 5:00 pm, June 22nd, 2025. Please be sure to note that this year, TRC will host an awards ceremony at Park Vista Hotel on Thursday at noon, August 21, 2025. Winners are encouraged to attend.

How to Enter:
All applications submitted must be current projects in the past two years within Tennessee. Please place your award submission in the appropriate category folder of the Dropbox link below:

Nomination Criteria

To nominate an individual, organization, school, or business, submit a 500-word or less description of the program (or individual), using the category and judging criteria on the website. Applications must contain supporting documentation, such as photographs, charts, signage, and other information. Programs should have been in place for a minimum of one year to be considered for an award. Submission of photos and supporting documents is a must to be regarded as a complete application.
Announcement of Winner

We will notify the winner that they are selected in July, and the award will be presented during the award ceremony at the TRC Conference on August 20-22, 2025. TRC is accepting awards applications for all awards categories. A panel of judges will select a winner in each category.
